I am picky about iPhone camera apps.

The one photography iPhone app I generally prefer is CameraBag. There are a few effects I like, so I will share them with you! These are all the same photo, obviously.

I'm going to start reviewing things.

In June(ish) of 2009, my cat started throwing up after every meal. Within minutes of eating, I'd have a mess to clean, and it was really worrying and disgusting me. My mom and I took her to the vet multiple times, and they found nothing. They recommended feeding her boiled chicken breast and white rice for a week or two and then put her back on her regular cat food.

Well, that didn't work at all. I was so frustrated that I went out and bought a plethora of canned cat food. Really premium, wholesome stuff. She liked some of it, but then she vomited it up. I SERIOUSLY FELT SO FRUSTRATED AT THIS POINT. After doing a bit of my own research, I concluded that my darling cat had an intolerance to either corn, soy, or wheat. I picked up some Wellness brand cat food, and she hasn't thrown up since. Aside from hairballs, of course.

That brings us to the ORGANIX Organic Cat Treats. My cat LOVES these! They're free of all filler ingredients, they have a mere ONE calorie per treat, and they're not expensive by any means. I was afraid that Sofie would be pissed off that I was giving her healthier treats, but she was happy as can be. I am so very happy that I've found a healthy treat for my cat! Now, if only I could find a healthy treat that makes me that happy.

I really have to pee right now...

I guess I became prematurely excited about Valentine's Day 2011. Turns out that my boyfriend won't be able to be here until the 25th, which initially caused me to explode and cry and make him feel guilty. I can take the easy way out and blame hormones, but I think that I was just really excited by the idea of doing something silly and romantic on that particular day. Why, I've never had a romantic Valentine's Day, nor have I wanted one.

Sadly, it appears as though we will need to reschedule for another day. I'm thinking Disneyland on the 26th, so maybe we can celebrate then. On the 14th of this month I hope to go out for coffee or tea with a friend; I needn't pity myself for long.

It's not you, it's me.

I'm sorry for neglecting you, sweet little blog. I haven't forgotten about you; I've been feeling like a complete moron and have had nothing worthwhile to say. I promise that I'll have something of substance to write about soon, but for now I'm just going to leave you with a complaint.

I've had a stitch in my left side for the entire day/night. Nothing has helped. What on earth could be causing it? My guess is that small people are inside of me, punching the inside of my stomach and stomping as hard as possible. Those little jerks.

Some of my favorite design-related websites.

We all have favorites, right? I know I do! Some of my favorite websites are places at which I've never spent money, but I appreciate the design and/or the product. Here are some of the best.

Moo.com is a terribly stupid name. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is and I had to say it before raving about them, because I don't want anyone to think that I think the name is adorable or catchy. I don't. It's stupid and I hate it. However, the website is phenomenal. I was first turned on to the site when Flickr had a promotion for its Pro members; free "MiniCards" printed with your own Flickr photos. Anything free is good, unless it's some sort of disease or rotting food. Free = I want. I immediately customized my tiny little cards (they're really, really small) and ordered them to be sent immediately. I loved them. I promptly lost them, of course, but the few days that I had them I thought they were great. Perfect size for slipping in a wallet, great quality cardstock, and they even came in a tiny little box.

Since that experience, I have not been a patron at Moo.com. Not for lack of want, however; I considered ordering my professional business cards from their service, but the prices are a bit steep. I do love the site's design and the product examples, so if I ever make any money I'll consider placing an order with them. And to make this company cooler? I just discovered that you can order custom StickerBooks. Does anyone want to order one for me?

Dornob.com is a fabulous design website. If you want to see the most bizarre, modern architectural and design trends, take a look at this. I'd say that half of the entries on the site are inspiring and the other half is absurd. Either way, a great way to spend a lot of time if you're bored or needing some creative inspiration.

Curiobot has some really, really, really cool products found around the web. If I had the money, I would be spending much of it on weird things from here and from PerpetualKid.com.

.... TO BE CONTINUED.

Coconut water = BLISS.

For months my boyfriend has been recommending this specific brand of coconut water, but I hadn't tried it until tonight. Previously, my coconut water experiences were limited to the Naked brand, which was really, really mediocre and turned me off of the stuff completely. Tonight, however, I was at the grocery store down the street and this caught my eye. At $3 a bottle (LAME) I felt stupid buying it, but I'd been reading some really great things about the health benefits of coconut.

Apparently, coconut water does all kinds of good things. You can read about it in depth here, but I'll post my favorite parts for ya'll right here.
  1. Lower calories and more nutritious than milk
  2. Very high in potassium
  3. Extremely high in electrolytes, which makes it perfect to rehydrate while being sick with gastrointestinal issues. Seriously! It seems that coconut water is the healthiest thing to drink next to plain water, but it has so many additional nutrients! It is useful for anyone suffering from vomiting. Excellent to know this.
  4. Coconut water is even so awesome that it was actually used in World War II for injured soldiers; coconut water worked as a replacement for plasma! Amazing! You can't do that with orange juice, that's for sure.
I loved my expensive coconut water and I expect that I will soon become obsessed. If I could have my refrigerator stocked with cold water, Synergy kombucha (Cosmic Cranberry or Superfuits, please), and a huge amount of coconut water, I would be very happy and very hydrated and healthy.

DRINK COCONUT WATER! I'm also going to begin incorporating more coconut milk and raw coconut into my diet.

Food poisoning SUCKS... a LOT.

Don't eat at Subway, okay? It made me puke my guts out. It's especially unfortunate because I'm an emetophobe, i.e. I have an irrational fear of vomit/vomiting. That was pretty terrible.

Two bags of I.V. fluid, two shots of Zofran to stop the vomiting, and a restless night of sleep later, here I am... body aching like crazy. FML.
